Welcome Ross Strike, our new Head of M&A and Investor Relations

by Chinaza Nduka-Dike

Our team at Moniepoint has seen much growth in recent times. We’re now over a thousand across over six countries, all working to power business dreams across emerging markets. With this drive, it’s important for us to connect globally, and that’s why we’re excited to welcome Ross Strike to the team.

Ross Strike is joining Moniepoint as Head of M&A and Investor Relations. He is a finance professional with over a decade of investment banking and venture capital experience. Ross will be responsible for developing and executing our M&A and fundraising strategy, as we expand into new markets.

Moniepoint is currently the second-fastest growing company in Africa, per FT’s latest ranking, and we’ve recently shared some milestones we hit in the first quarter of 2023. We’ve seen much growth in this period, and with Ross joining the team, we’re looking to reach newer heights.

He is joining Moniepoint from British International Investment, where he led their investment in Moniepoint. Ross was one of the founding members of BII’s venture capital investment team, helping to scale the firm’s early-stage activities, which has deployed over $350m across over 40+ investments. He started his career in Citibank’s investment banking team and is a Kauffman Fellow.

He has spent most of his career pursuing a passion for financial inclusion and supporting businesses, both of which we’re also excited about at Moniepoint.

Among other things, Ross likes to travel and meet new people and cultures. He has spent a bit of time exploring Kano, Nigeria, and as he joins us, we hope he finds more adventures across the African continent.
